Technologists play various roles in various discipline of life–Engineering, Sciences etc. As a food technologist in Food Science and Technology, l am responsible for the safe and efficient development, modification and manufacture of food products; also Maintenance of Quality-Preservation. Working in the lab with students and researchers, you teach and guide students on modalities and ethics needed for work in the lab; proper handling of the equipments, alongside the procedures required to carry out each analysis, and help reseachers when needed. Having all things on ground its interesting and more fulfilling to practically handle what has been theoretically passed across to one and get expected good result. Over the years l have worked with students teaching them in practical classes, assissting them in their project work from the University of Agriculture Makurdi to MOUAU through the different positions of the cadre. As a Chief Technologists there is the added responsibility of general laboratory administration. |
